PEDRO J. AZORIN
You could say that my relationship with the world of wine is carry-labeled in my DNA. Having the good fortune to be the son, grandson, great grandson of winemakers in Yecla, I decided to stick with tradition and studying enology.
I studied enology in Jumilla for five years. Master in Viticulture, Oenology and Wine Marketing by The International Social Science Council. Level 2 by the Wine & Spirit Education Trust. I’m part of the panel of tasters Virgin Olive Oil in the Region of Murcia (recognized by the International Olive Oil Council) and the Committee of Rated Wines Designation of Origin Yecla.
Currently performing the work of winemaker at Bodegas “La Purisima”, I find it rewarding when I know that the grapes that I elaborate has some sources that I know personally, so getting an extra motivation and especially a knowledge of the terrain, variety etc… that allow me to do with wine a tribute to my ancestors.
The nose is very cheerful, with hints of fresh fruit, raspberry. The palate is sweet, fresh, with an ending that invites you to keep drinking.
The nose is fruity, with hints of the Monastrell grape. The palate is elegant, long and with a velvety finish.
The nose is varietal, with hints of blue flowers. The palate is intense with varietal character and smooth finish.
The nose is like a modern wine, with many nuances. The palate is fleshy, long and powerful, with an end very spicy.
Subtle aromas, with hints of dried figs and notes of toasted wood. The palate is intense and round, with a long finish and tasty.
